MAKE BIM COORDINATION FUN AGAIN: MATCH OFFSET FOR REVIT 2022 IS HERE

2021-07-29

Whenever you’re coordinating disciplines, there are times where you need to bring elements to the same level, whether they should have the same bottom, same top, or same middle offset.

One example where this needed is whenever an MEP coordinator needs to bring two different services to the same level so that they both can be carried by the same hanger.

Connecting a duct branch, water pipe branch, sanitary pipe… to their main lines is another example where this is a need.

Another example is when you model elements while neglecting the offset parameter and you need to bring them all to the level of another element. It can be lighting fixtures, diffusers, fire sprinklers…that would need to be brought to ceiling level.

Match offset is the tool to make that possible without you having to waste time creating sections to do so.

Match Offset

It’s not MEP exclusive. Architects, structural engineers…can benefit from it as well and can find several applications where this is useful.

Here’s a video showing it in action.

And now, Match offset is at v3.0, with support for Revit 2022. It’s free, and can be downloaded from our App Store. Here’s a link:
