I KNOW YOU LIKE DATA: HERE’S SOME OF RAVEN’S

2022-01-24

With Data Science and machine learning becoming a trend, everyone seems to be interested in data and statistics.

Here are some server usage statistics showing the server load of Raven. For those of you not familiar with Raven, it’s our workshare monitoring solution for BIM 360 and Revit Server models. (yes, the default worksharing monitor doesn’t support these Autodesk technologies…)

It also supports models hosted over Nasuni, and regular local network workshared models.

As logged by the server host, a total of 766 BIM 360 models are processed by Raven’s server every SECOND.

38,752 worksharing activity notification is sent/received by the server per Second. Notifications include “synchronize with central started”, “synchronize with central completed”, “reload latest started”, “reload latest completed”, “User Joining”, “User Leaving”…

19376 client-side connections per SECOND are established with the server, which means that 19376 instances of the Raven instant messenger are opened per second on our users’ workstations.

Statistics above are related to users using Raven as a communication application where our Raven server is evoked. Excluded are users that connect Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Slack, Webex… to Revit through the Raven Revit add-in, which is also a feature that the add-in is capable of: posting user activity and worksharing notifications to a team’s Zoom, MS Teams, Slack, Webex… channel. These users are estimated to be almost equal to the ones that use the Raven instant messenger.

Gotta love numbers I guess, and always proud of our constant growth and thrilled to be trusted by the global AEC community in over 120 countries.

However, and as much as these numbers mean to us, user feedback means a lot more as it carries with it love and support and makes our effort worth it. Here’s Kate Schade’s positive feedback, of Lavalle Brensinger Architects:
